Fall inspired Cake Smash session

This cute little pumpkin is turning ONE! 

I love seasonal (or any theme really) cake smashes! They are always so much fun to put together and if we are being honest, it gives me an excuse to go up and down the fall rows at every local store in Carrollton. The client reached out with the idea of a fall and pumpkin theme for her son's cake smash session and sent a couple inspiration pictures over. 

Now, some photographers will tell you they HATE inspiration boards on Pinterest or even a couple photos being sent to them for inspiration. I however love getting a glimpse into my clients taste and style. If someone says pumpkin or fall, my little creative brain starts branching off in 20 different directions and it's nice to have a bit of direction. 

Seeing they prefer whites and muted oranges instead of browns and bright oranges is a great way to start the design process. I knew I wanted to have a white pumpkin as the cake (brown or orange would be horrible on the face), so I started there and planned elements to coordinate and pull together the fall vibe. I just love how this turned out. 

This session took place at the studio in Carrollton, Georgia last weekend and I have sent off their gallery, so I wanted to share a couple of my favorites.
